Don't let this opportunity pass you by…

The webinar with my former fund manager friend last Wednesday was a huge success.

The good news is that you can watch the recording.

Since this is just his free stuff, imagine how good his one year mentorship program is. Let me tell you, it is life changing. I finished the course last night and will never look at the markets the same way. Wow what an eye opener.

You owe it to yourself, and your portfolio, to watch this webinar, at least once (more if you have time).

Our host really did do trades as large as $50 million before he left the world of money management and he shares a little of his story and some insider tips, but most of the hour is spent on pure trading content.

I like to share good content with my subscribers and this one is well worth it.

Thanks,

Ave Ramel

P.S. The 1 year mentorship program closes for most of the rest of the year this Sunday night so check it out today.

P.P.S. Spend just an hour listening and go improve your trading immediately.

Thinking About Private Medical Insurance

Louise Cuming, head of protection at moneysupermarket.com welcomed the good news that came with the announcement from ABI, who stated that the number of Brits being covered by Private Medical Insurance had finally broken through and into the six million count.

The good news came from the knowledge that more consumers “are taking the need for protection seriously” and are taking the necessary steps to ensure they are cared for. She continued, commenting that the serious consideration of Private Medical Insurance as a means to “cover the costs of treatment for ‘acute’ conditions such as disease” would invariably mean that response to an injury or the offering necessary treatment would be much quicker than that offered by the state. The peace of mind that would come with such swift protection not only for you but your loved ones cannot be measured on any chart.

It is vital that consumers pay attention to their needs above that of the other protection products available. If you are looking for protection in the event of a chronic illness, such as cancer befalling either you or one of your loved ones, then PMI will prove to be an unsuitable insurance as it wouldn’t cover such illnesses.

As you shop around for health insurance you will notice that there is a kaleidoscope of cover, differing in their levels of cover and the prices quoted for each of them. At this junction it is again to be aware of your needs and not focus on the products being offered. Taking the time now to question what level of benefits you require and then use this information to shop around for the best price is the way to obtain health insurance that is truly relevant and appropriate for you as an individual.

There may be elements of compromise but being fully aware of your priorities will ensure these are in areas that will not affect the level of cover you get. If you are looking to save money, you could opt to allow the insurer to choose any hospital in a limited range as opposed to limiting your choice of hospitals to a widespread few.

Similarly, would you rather have access to holistic and alternative therapies like aromatherapy and acupuncture or would you rather save money and have access only to traditional medicinal approaches? Answering these questions honestly will ensure you purchase a product that fits you as best as possible. Answering any of these questions with someone else in mind may result in an ill fitting policy that could be detrimental to your peace of mind, well being and overall health. In light of ill fitting policies, withholding information could result in a future claim being rejected.

Whenever life changing events are happening a review of your cover should be carried out, take a moment to check whether a change of job, a new member to the family or a change in marital status regardless of direction will affect the level of cover you require or the amount you can afford for PMI.

If there is an increase in your debt you may be forced to ponder whether you would rather redirect some of your funds and possibly compromise on the level of cover you would like in favour for what you need. New companies being introduced into the market could result in you thinking your health would be better protected by this new provider, or maybe an established insurer has found new ways to cut costs and you feel a move would help
your finances work harder.

At this point it is important to not be swayed by price, make sure that the cover you are comparing is a like for like and that you don't cancel any policy until the new cover is in place and has started covering, remember that some policies will not cover yor the first 30 days.

Private Medical Insurance. Experimental Treatments Could Now Be Covered

Private medical insurance policies can be very particular about what they do and don't cover. For example, if you are insured with Bupa, then you will only be covered for experimental medical treatment if it is part of a bona fide medical trial or study. And Norwich Union Healthcare stipulate that treatment is only covered if it is considered to standard practice in the UK.

So what happens if your doctor recommends that the best course of action would be to have a newer type of treatment, rather than a long established standard procedure? For the sake of your health, you will probably be wanting to take your doctor's recommendation. However, many private medical insurance policies simply do not allow for this.

The issue has come to light as a number of people have been recommended experimental treatment, only to find that the insurer will not cover it. These people complained to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) who, in some cases, rules against the insurers. One of the treatments that has emerged as something that should be paid for is a new form of varicose vein surgery. Standard practice in the USA for the last five years, insurers in the UK were refusing to pay out until the FOS made their decision.

A type of larynx surgery which is performed by laser is also now to be insured, as is bladder surgery carried out by keyhole rather than through an open wound, and a new type of spinal treatment which means vastly reduced side effects.

However, the FOS has only been able to overturn insurer's decisions on policies in which experimental treatments are not specifically stated in the policy as being excluded. The Ombudsman can't do anything about those policies that do specifically exclude experimental treatments.

The FOS has pointed out that just because they have ruled against the insurers, it doesn't mean they are endorsing specific types of treatment. They also said: "If the policyholder has been advised by his or her treating physician that, in their particular circumstances, they should have a newer treatment instead of an established procedure, our general view would be that it could be unfair for the firm to turn down the claim entirely."

As a result of these recent rulings, insurers may well reconsider how they deal with experimental treatments in their policies. Insurers say that they act in the best interests of their customers, and if they are asked to fund something that they consider to be against the best interests of the patient, then they will reject the claim. However, one insurer, WPA, has admitted that if the customer's doctor does recommend a particular course of experimental treatment, and there is a very good reason why that treatment is better than any other, then they will pay out. Norwich Union Healthcare has already said that they will be reviewing their policies in the light of the FOS' rulings. As for Bupa, it has expressed concern that customers will be claiming for procedures or drugs that have not been fully tested in the UK.

At the moment, it's a case of ‘watch this space'. If you are thinking about getting private medical insurance, then keep this issue in mind when you choose your policy. It would be very frustrating to be recommended a treatment, and then find that you are not insured for it. Remember to check out the Internet first for the cheapest policies, most private medical insurance policies offer a lot of advice and information on which policy is best suited to you, which can be very useful with all the choice out there.

What Is Private Medical Insurance?

Private medical insurance is optional insurance which an individual or entire family can take out by paying a monthly premium, the same as with life or home insurance. There are many advantages to paying for private medical insurance and here are just of the reasons you could consider taking out this form of insurance.

Perhaps the biggest advantage to taking private medical insurance is to avoid the long waiting lists that are now common on the NHS. Private health insurance can give you peace of mind that if you become ill then you will be immediately seen and are guaranteed to get the very best of treatment.

The second big plus to having private medical insurance is the choice that comes with it. If you should have to have an operation then you will have a choice over the surgeon that performs the operation along with your choice of hospital. Of course you will have a private room which means that visiting hours won't be restricted as they are when in a NHS hospital. You will get a choice from a menu and you wont have the medical students standing around your bed that are commonly seen following Doctors around the wards of the hospitals.

Not only will you avoid the waiting lists associated with operations but even for minor operations and treatment you will be seen straight away. There are many choices for the cover you can have and searching online for the best coverage and cheapest cover is essential. However in most cases you will only get what you pay for and if you want to make savings then taking limited cover might be your only option.

Perhaps the only disadvantages to paying for private medical insurance is that not all medical eventualities are covered and the private hospitals might not have the depth of expertise found in the NHS.
